Lumina Images, Signature Partner

I can remember when I first started in the wedding business. So many talents in their fields, so much to learn, so much experience to garner. Over the years I have had the opportunity to work with seasoned professionals and those with talent just starting out in the business. One of those new talents on the scene is Nelly Arruda Soares from Lumina Images. I have had great fun watching the beautiful, European inspired photography that she has posted on her facebook page. First off the quality of her photography is amazing and her chic insightful eye adds an unique perspective to wedding photography.
I am happy to have her as a signature partner in the work that I do. I look for ward to working with her and her company for many years to come. Awesome Job Nelly, just awesome.

The Ritz Carlton Boston

What a nice time I had yesterday on a site visit with my bride and groom at the ultra sleek and fabulous Ritz Carlton Boston. I have not been to the hotel since it's major renovation and I have to say that this brings city chic to a whole new level. The many spaces through out the hotel are appointed in understated and sophisticated finishes. I am especially fond of the use of mother of pearl tile trimmed in mahogany,  bringing the perfect balance to feminine and masculine.

We will be looking at a few more spaces next week, to be honest, I think that this one is tough to beat. What an incredible venue for a wedding or event.  Just the thought of decking it out has my creative mind running.

The girl next door gets married

I have to admit that I am a "Girls Next Door" fanatic. I have seen just about every episode and love the crazy antics of Hugh's gals as they frolic through the mansion and life. There is just something so cool about the Playboy label. I never thought as a gay guy that I would spend so much time looking at naked girls on T.V., my father would be proud.  Kendra,  along with my personal favorite Bridgette and of course Hugh's former first in line gal, Holly have brought the label to an all time high.

I was so sad in the season finale to hear that the girls were moving on. In a way I knew that it was time and I hoped that they would find their own happiness in life. Of course I was thrilled when my girl Kendra moved on to her own reality show.

Throughout her opening season we got a chance to see all of her antics again as we followed her on the road to saying yes. She decided to be married on the very lawn of the Playboy Mansion where her star started to shine many years ago as a painted girl at one of the famed "Midsummer Night's Dream" Parties.

I love weddings and I am a sentimental guy at the heart of it. When I got this video in from E Entertainment I just had to share it with you. Kendra you looked amazing on your wedding and the flowers were just to die for. God I just have to say it, guys however cool you might think that it looks, no no to the white tuxes. Congratulations to both you and Hank ! Cheers to a lifetime of happiness.

David Tutera at Gotham Hall NYC

I have always been inspired by the floral and design work of David Tutera. When I saw his work from my good friend and colleague Jo Kaplan Lee of Allegro Photography, I knew that I just had to share it with you. This is a sheer collision of brilliance. An amazing old world architectural gem, Gotham Hall first provided the backdrop and stage to this magnificent production. The flowers are spectacular and are the very definition of chic. The way that Jo Kaplan Lee of Allegro Photography captured the lighting and the style of this fabulous wedding in New York City has left me breathless.  I am so pleased that I can share it with you here on my STYLE Circle.

I love the juxtaposition of modern shapes and tight use of floral design against some of the more romantic elements of the architecture and whimsical floral displays. How romantic, to be serenaded by violins.

I love that the bride and groom chose to eat their celebratory dinner under their modern and unique chuppah. Thank you so very much to Allegro Photography, just an incredible wedding.

Floral Inspired, Bennison Fabrics

I love how one thing in design inspires the next. I was scanning the internet last night looking at the newest fabrics from Bennison and found this amazing promotional photo that they are using on their web site. I love and adore elephants. Seeing this elephant with his Chinese Bennison blanket is just so majestically cute.

I have long loved and used Bennison Fabrics in my design work. The English always understand flowers in a way that no other designers do. I love their interpretation of color and antique design in modern prints on fabric and wallpaper.  Click here to check out their latest fabric collection.
