"Who doesn't like being greeted by a handsome red-coated doorman outside our own little Versailles ? I love that the hotel has many different venue options, from the stately wood panelled oak room, to the Oval room, with it's gorgeous trompe l'oeil cloud ceiling, to the absolute majesty of the Grand Ballroom. J'Adore."

There is nothing better then to hear that your work is being featured in an editorial for a bridal magazine. The newest issue of Boston Weddings is featuring the wedding that I designed. I was thrilled to also work with Lauren from Person and Killian for the producers of The Bachelor, on this project named "Hitched or Ditched". There was as much drama in the production of this wedding as there was in the episode which aired with the title " Cheater in Beantown". In the end I love the coverage and still think that Anissa, the bride was one of the prettiest to walk down a CMP aisle in a long time. Thank you Fairmont Copley, give Katie Copley a pat on the head for me.

  

I am a fashion designer, not the fashion that you wear(yet), but the fashion that you look at. Color combinations, textures, fabrics and finishes all play a huge roll in the world of design, whether it is for the home, a wedding or an incredible Christmas event. I see the same principles being applied regardless. I personally love mixing it up, doing something a little different, outside of the box, yet in some way related and inspired by what I am currently doing.

The idea of jewelry to me has always been fascinating since I consider the floral work that I have done to be jewelry for the wedding table top. To fuse the world of hip jewelry with my design flair is exciting and I can hardly wait to create a showstopper for Alex and Ani this December 17th. You can see in my design that I am inspired by their designs and look forward to creating a magical evening.

Next week I head down to their corporate offices to discuss other potential projects.......you know my head is spinning, where will this little twist lead CMP to?

It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next week and Christmas music is playing on the radio. In years past Christmas has come in a whirl and I have hardly found the time to send holiday cards to my friends and colleagues. This year, I have made the commitment to take a moment to send holiday cheer by way of post. Because I own a creative company, I can't just send out any normal card right?

This year I will be working with Praez Occasions and Calligraphy by Jennifer to showcase a beautiful photograph that I took of anenomes, Praez's amazing construction and flair for printed design and of course,  the artful hand of Calligraphy by Jennifer. With there smart black ruffled throats and fancy red petals of the flowers, I think that this photo makes the perfect statement for the season. Combining the work of three artists is something that has me feeling giddy.

While I would love to send out these fabulous cards to everyone, I know that I just won't be able to. I feel lucky that I get to share the image here with you. OMG here we go again......I am thrilled beyond belief to be working again with the nicest family on the east coast, The Hearn Family. Sarah, one of their two stunning daughters has chosen to be married this New Year's at The oh so swank Four Seasons in Boston. The hotel holds a fond place in my heart as my Kevin and I spent many get away nights there when we first dating and I still had the expense account of a banker. Those days are gone but the romance is still there none the less.

New Year's eve has so many magical details to it anyway, what better night to go over the top, to have guests dressed to the nines to sip champagne and to bask in the romantic glow of a beautiful Grace Kelley bride and her oh so handsome groom.  I have planned the floral and decor details to the wedding to be soft and chic, per the bride. I will be using phaleonopsis orchids, gardenia, branches with crystal and candles and lots and lots of candles. This will all be set on a gorgeous dupioni silk pin tucked table cloth. Our transport shuttles will be providing guests transportation from the hotel to the Church in Wellesley and I get to personally photograph the event......too exciting.

Of course, New Year's day will bring a story and many amazing photos for us to share. I can hardly wait.
